The City of Pawnee Municipal Court is the judicial branch of the city government. The function of this court is to adjudicate all violations of city ordinances.
The Court Clerk maintains all court records, ensures the orderly conduct of court session, and accounts for all fiscal matters involving the Municipal Court.

Before you come to court, here are the things you should bring:
- Proper identification (valid unexpired driver's license, Oklahoma ID, passport).
- Your copy of the citation.
- Appearance letter and/or court documents.
- Any receipts regarding your case (i.e., bond receipts, cash bail receipts, etc.).
- Any documents which prove compliance with the Judge's orders and/or sentencing.
- Method of payment (cash, check or money order; credit cards are not accepted).
Before you come to court, here are things you should know/remember:
- Do not use nicknames or an alias. Use the same spelling as listed on documents related to the case and ensure spelling on the documents is correct. If they are not, please advise the court.
- Provide the court with your current physical and mailing address.
- Appropriate dress is required. No obscene slogans, no hats, no shorts, no visible undergarments, no torn or stained clothing, no tank tops/muscle shirts/"A" shirts, and no cell phones. Proper fitting clothing and shoes are required.
- No docket changes will be made on the court day.
If you fail to appear or to otherwise fail to satisfy any court order, one and all of the following items may apply:
- Your Oklahoma driver’s license may be suspended. If you are an out-of-state visitor, your license from your home state can be suspended as well.
- The offense could be entered as a conviction on your record.
- A warrant could be issued for your arrest.
- A charge for failure to appear could be filed against you.
Due Date
Fines are due in full on the day of sentencing.
Types of Payment
We accept cash, check, money orders, and cashier’s checks. We are not able to accept credit/debit card payments.
Online Payments
Online payments are not available at this time. Please make all payments in person at City Hall. You can also mail non-cash payments to City Hall.
Payment Options
If you want payment options you must have a court date and appear before the judge. The judge will determine the payment options.
- Payments must be received on or before the due date.
- Please call City Hall to verify if your citation can be paid without a court appearance.

If you do not pay your fine according to your payment schedule, your account will be turned over to collections and a warrant may be issued.
